Therapon Prison
Ministry
Therapon is a Bible College and Theological Seminary for the incarcerated. We address the whole man, working through and healing deep seated issues for long term, eternal change. The Bible is our textbook as God has the answers to all of our problems.

CRRP is the keystone of Therapon. This 2-year course uses the Word of God to heal the whole man. There is no greater resource to change lives forever than Gods word. When completed students earn an associate's degree.
Graduates of CRRP have the option of continuing their Biblical education to earn bachelor's and even master's degrees. This starts with a 2-year intense study of Koine Greek and Bible Doctrine.
Once Graduated many of our students begin teaching our courses to their peers through our Life that Wins program. This is a 3-month course, available for minimum and medium custody men. Life that Wins bridges a gap and takes down walls, bringing freedom to so many who would have otherwise missed out.
This branch of our program works directly with TDCJ. TDCJ brings to us life coaches, peer support coaches and field ministers who are struggling, and have lost their way. We lead them through group classes and provide individual counseling for several weeks. The goal is to encourage them and get them back on track.

Changing Beliefs
Therapon uses the Bible to change beliefs and lives. The Bible is the living, breathing Word of God and we see mens lives change dramatically when they are taught Gods word and believe it, it's inevitable. We first recognize people's actions are a result of what they believe. People, especially those in prison, believe lies. We replace these lies with the truth of God. A man properly equipped with the truth is able to walk in freedom and in the purpose God has designed him for, to be conformed into the image of Jesus Christ. This New Man naturally and organically changes others around him. God uses Therapon to change the temperament of the prison unit, and drastically reduces the recidivism rate. Read evidence of this in our Testimonies section!
